I’ve worked in childcare in the years 2014-2017, along with full-time nanny positions, in summers 2015, 2016, 2019, 8-10hour days. Before college, I could tack on an additional 7 years of childcare experience. The second family i worked for starting in 2019, has reached out for date nights and rare overnight trips to watch the girls because we really have become like family. I truly enjoy spending my days helping to grow the minds of the next generation. I’ve taken what I’ve learned as a preschool teacher (4 total years) and applied it to structuring my day with each of the children I have cared for in the past. While I may care for 3 children at the same time, I structure each of their days according to their own individual needs. I have cared for children as young as 6 weeks to 17 year olds. I am currently a Read more case manager for Big Brothers Big Sisters and work with children aged 6-17yo. The first family I nannied for, the youngest boy required more attention with his special needs. He loved to learn sign language with me! I don’t need to be trained on care for children. It’s second nature to me. While I’m not a mom, I grew up around a loving family, who taught me how to be a kind, generous, loyal, empathetic person and I believe those qualities shine brightest through me when I’m enjoying my day teaching babies how to walk or talk or toddlers how to sing their abcs. I have e joyed my time in casework but I’m looking to go back into childcare, back to doing what I know I succeed at. I am more than happy to share my previous work experiences in person.
