My mother has had a daycare in her home for twenty years, so I grew up around the routine of a daycare. I started babysitting when I was in the 6th grade up until I went to college. I was in school for two years until I decided I wanted to take some time off. In Fall of 2012 I lived in Madrid, Spain as an Au Pair for three months with an amazing Spanish family. They had three children, 3, 8, and 10 years old. When I came home, I decided I wanted to continue with child care so I moved to Pennsylvania and became a nanny for some family friends. This family had six children, but I was only responsible for the three youngest; driving them to and from practice, picking them up from school, making the occasional dinner. When summer came, they didn't need me anymore so Read more I moved out to Los Angeles and was a nanny out there for six months until I decided a small town Midwest girl like me didn't belong in the big city. This family had two boys, aged 2 and 4, and I was responsible for doing everything for them, from making their breakfast to doing their laundry to giving them their nightly bath. I am certified in CPR and First Aid...and loving on little kiddos (because I'm basically a little kid at heart, too!)
