It was in my tour of European when I toured schools that I discovered my passion for education. Since then I have continued to explore what it means for children to learn and grow. Currently I hold 4 years in the Montessori setting ages 2-10 years. 1 year running a middle school aged after school program and 3 years running a summer school program at a Montessori school. 1/2 year as an assistant in special education and a life time with my own younger brother having autism. Additionally I have a mixed sprinkling of babysitting, afternoon nannying, math tutoring, and at-home-pandemic-teaching for the last 5 years. I am fascinated in how and why kids learn, as well as how to innovate in the area. In my belief it is through play and the safety to make mistakes that a child learns discovery. I would love to share my experience and Read more passion with your family. For the next 6 months I will be in Indianapolis for my husband's work as a veterinarian. In that time, if your family is interested in welcoming in a new member to your flock I would love to be your new nanny. I work with children ages 2 years and up. With the wonderful awkwardness of ages 9-12 as my favorite. I believe in kindness, empathy, and thought. That children's emotional health is important and there is ALWAYS time to enjoy life. On a personality note: Mrs Frizzle (magic school buss) and Mrs Hunny (ever watched Matilda?) are my role model/asperations in life. So to imagine a hybrid of the 2 would land you pretty close to who I am. My favorite places are zoos and museums, I love nature and animals, and I love having many many hobbies.
