I have had 13 years of experience working with kids- 3 summers as a camp counselor, 4 summers as a lifeguard, 2 summers as a nanny, 3 summers working as an inclusion companion at a summer camp with a child on the autism spectrum. Throughout high school I assisted special needs students in sports, classwork, and after school hobbies. In college I volunteered at the Indiana School for the blind and visually impaired. I have been a teacher for 2.5 years with an Indiana Teaching License in Elementary Education K-6 and Mild Intervention K-6. I have always loved being around kids, seeing them grow, teaching them, learning with them, and helping them see themselves as a unique member of society.
