I am a cognitive developmental psychologist with practical teaching experience with preschool through early adolescent age children for over five years and over fifteen years experience teaching developmental psychology and early childhood education students at the college level. I am looking for a daycare position (as a teacher or assistant) that will afford me the opportunity to stay in the Lafayette Indiana area for the foreseeable future. I am especially skilled at incorporating games and activities that can support cognitive development in children. I have also worked as a nanny for several years while in graduate school. My degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago is in developmental psychology with a specific focus on cognitive development. My teaching and research interests have focused on critical thinking, and problem solving in classroom settings, and I have experience working with children with autism.
