My name is Judy. I am 56 years old, married, a mother of 4, a step-mom of 6, and a grandma of 15+. I have worked in both healthcare and education. My most recent employment is as a reading specialist with our local school system (for the last seven years). I love animals! We currently own 2 dogs, a cat, 2 goats, 2 turkeys, and multiple chickens. I enjoy the outdoors, music, sports, and reading. Experience: I have a combined 15 years in the education field: Title 1 reading specialist (K-6), teaching assistant (Pre-K-2), and Substitute teaching K-12. Healthcare positions as a CNA, Group Home Attendant (mentally challenged 15-82 y.o.), Family Practice, and orthopedic offices (varying positions). Healthcare facility positions: CNA, Activity Director, and Social Service Director (ages 17 y.o. to the elderly). LPN practicum. Parenting my own children/step-children, raising 3 grandsons, and now babysitting grandchildren. The most important part about being a nanny… I believe it is important to nurture the whole child, to understand that each child is unique and that finding and understanding each child's unique personality and traits will assist with positively building the child's self-esteem, mental and emotional well-building which in turn will allow the child to truly become the person he/she is to be. I truly believe in the phrase "It takes a village to raise a child". I feel I have life experience, parental experience as well as professional experience to assist children in becoming their personal best selves!
