Why do you love being a sitter? I love being a sitter because I enjoy working with kids and helping them learn and grow. It’s rewarding to build connections with them, encourage their creativity, and support their development in a safe and fun environment. Every day is different, and I love seeing their personalities shine. What experience do you have? I have experience working at a daycare, where I cared for multiple children of different ages, lesson planned activities, and ensured a safe and nurturing environment. I’ve also babysat twins, which gave me hands-on experience managing the needs of multiple children at once, from feeding and bedtime routines to engaging them in fun and educational activities. What skills and training do you have? Through my daycare experience and babysitting, I’ve developed strong skills in child care, patience, multitasking, and problem-solving. My name is Marcaja Todd. I am 24 years old. I attend Purdue University majoring in Computer Engineering with a minor in ASL. I do not have any babysitting certificates but have worked in numerous of daycares. I am originally from Chicago, I’ve worked for an organization in Chicago called the Better Boys Foundation. I watched kids 5-12 years old until their parents came to pick them up. I helped them with homework, serving them food, and help them get themselves organized for the next school day. I also volunteered at the Big Brother Big Sister organization. I helped my little with her homework and getting organized for school also. We also spent time talking about our day getting to know each other, and we also played games. My family also own a daycare. We accept kids 3 & up. I helped change diapers, cook for the kids, help with homework, read to them, and any other care a child needs. I love working with kids it’s one of my passions. I am also CPR certified.
