I’ve been babysitting since I was about 11 years old. My first major experience was with a young girl with Down Syndrome. It was an experience that I learned from the most. When I started babysitting her she was unable to speak, so I had to learn a small amount of sign language so I was able to communicate with her. She also taught me how to be patient because she didn’t learn as easily due to her condition. My other major experience was right after high school. I was extremely interested in continuing in hospitality so I went to care.com and found a wonderful nannying job. I took care of two little boys ages 2 and 4. I was their nanny for two years and it was an amazing experience. My responibiliities were caring for the children, pet care ( dog and cat ), cleaning, gardening, field trips, and Read more meal preparation. I have infant experience but only with family. My sister had a 5 month old baby that I have cared for and I have cared for my cousins when they were babies.
