My name is Leah Carter! I play volleyball at Huntington University and am looking to be a nanny/occasional babysitter while my season is over! I love working with kids, and have done it my whole life. I have one younger sibling, volunteer in my church nursery, and have babysat for the same family the past 4 years, and have a total of 8 years experience with caring for multiple children. I’m CPR certified and have training in behavior management, communication, safety, and helping children build new skills while encouraging independence. I love being a sitter because I genuinely enjoy being around children and creating a fun, safe, and comfortable environment where they can be themselves. I love getting to know each child’s unique personality, whether we’re playing games, doing crafts, spending time outside, helping with homework, or just having fun together! My childcare experience comes from years of helping care for my younger siblings, nieces, and nephews. Being part of a large family has given me plenty of hands-on experience with children, from keeping them entertained and engaged to helping with meals, routines, and everyday needs. It has also taught me patience, responsibility, and how to adapt to different personalities and age groups. I’m dependable, attentive, organized, and a strong communicator. I’m also comfortable managing multiple children and staying calm when unexpected situations come up. As I begin babysitting professionally, I’m really excited to meet new families, build relationships with the children I care for, and become someone parents can truly trust and rely on.
