Hey, I’m Naomi! I’m 19 and very artsy, I currently work at a daycare but am looking at other options around me! I am a lead teacher in a toddler room with 8 kids, ratio being 1 adult for every 4 kids. I have been at my current place of work for 6+ months. I enjoy coloring, reading, playing pretend, doing puzzles, painting, dancing, and playing together in an outside setting (chasing, pushing down slides or pushing on swings, climbing, crawling, etc). I am also open to trying new activities! I have house sat a few times before for family/friends and I have had both cats and dogs and know how to care for them. I can do meal prep with clear instructions. I can be firm if needed but I like to be gentle and encouraging with kids, especially younger children. I do not believe in physical punishment, I Read more like to give consequences that align with the ‘crime’, ei, if you make a mess you help clean it up, etc. I have an active imagination and creative tendencies but I’m no stranger to playing in the dirt with kiddos. I don’t mind having no screen time with them as I currently don’t use screen time with my class (and have never been tempted to). I believe there are better ways to learn that are more fun for both adult and child. I have worked with potty trainers, am vaccinated, CPR/First Aid Certified, and have a drivers license. I know two basic signs for late speakers, ‘more’ and ‘all done’. Most importantly, I will do my best to adapt to your families unique needs.
