I am currently a Kindergarten Teacher and am possibly looking for a change due to the current crisis in America with COVID and the unpredictability of how our school systems are going to be able to keep up with the day to day changes and mandates. I have been teaching for over 20 years in the same school district and truly love my work and especially the work of teaching the little ones (preschool/kindergarten level). I enjoy having a structured, but flexible day and love the challenge of helping children learn new things and take on new challenges. I am looking for a family or families who are wanting a school prep type situation for their kids and who understand the difference between quality childcare that may cost you more, vs. mediocre/discounted rate babysitting. I love children and love making learning fun and hands on. As far as my personal Read more life, I am a 45 year old widow who lost my husband to cancer 7 years ago. I have 2 children who are currently in college and I therefore, still need a decent salary to help pay my own bills and help my own children out as much as possible as they get through college. My hobbies include going on long bike rides, doing yoga nearly everyday, and attending Pure Barre fitness classes in Lawrence, even though I live 45 minutes away. My favorite hobby though is spending time with my college kiddos and their friends. Since my husband passed away, I have taken on the role of both mother and father and the most important job in my life is helping them to be healthy and happy in life.
