I'm Emma, I'm 30 years old and I've worked in both childcare and with adults with Autism. Most recently, I've been nannying for a lovely family in Kentucky. Their son is 7 years old and I've been with him for the past two years (his Mom is now working from home and no longer needs fulltime childcare). I helped him before school in the morning, ran errands and assisted around the house during the day. The afternoons were often filled with driving to activities and playdates as well as homework and dinner. Before that, I worked for a family with two adult sons with Autism. I was trained on various de-escalation techniques and worked closely with social workers to create daily activities for both of them. I also helped with various household chores and errands.
