I come from an early childhood background, working at several daycares and also teaching kindergarten. I started out babysitting my nieces and nephews. My sister's friends saw how much attention and care I gave to them and asked me did I mind watching their children every once in a while. I agreed because I loved children. My part time babysitting gigs turned into a real job when I was hired to care for a little boy after school Monday through Friday. I stayed with him until I was a junior in high school. They moved out of state. I have cared for 3 families with children ranging in ages 2 to 13. The most children I have cared for at one time is 3. I am CPR certified and have taken several classes dealing with the social and emotional skills of children.
