Meet Currin

Hello! I graduated from Tulane University in 2016 and have been working in New Orleans as a case manager in social services for unaccompanied immigrant children. I work daily with children and teens of all ages, in Spanish. As the eldest of four girls, I am responsible, fun and love being around kids. I have babysat for ages varying anywhere from 6 months to thirteen years, and can handle large groups of kids at a time. In high school I babysat regularly for families (2 and 3 kids) in my neighborhood and greater community. I am CPR certified and have had my driver's license for 9 years. In addition to babysitting, I volunteered for four years at my church on Sundays as a childcare teacher. I helped the other two adults organize activities, played with the kids and prepared snack for the class of 12 to 15 toddlers. After graduating high Read more school, I lived in El Salvador working as a ceramics teacher and English tutor. I worked with all ages: playing with clay, painting, reading in a book club and helping with homework. It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I am now proficient in Spanish, and have an appreciation for cultures from all over the world.
