I am the mom to four wonderful well rounded adult children. Although I have never worked as a nanny I have lots of experience with children of all ages. I have been actively involved with my own children in sports and many other activities throughout their upbringing. I am the kind of mom who always welcomed my kids friends, I always preferred to know where my kids were, who they were with, and what they were doing, our home was a revolving door for their friends. Now that my children are grown and out on their own it’s pretty quiet and I miss always having kids around for trips to the beach, park. Football, baseball, basketball, dance, gymnastics,, cheer practice etc. I always enjoyed spending time with my children & their friends. Always encouraging them to be kind and respectful to each other and have fun. I am calm and Read more understanding. I realize it’s natural to become overwhelmed (sensory overload) happens to all of us at one time or another. Children have an enthusiasm about life, eager to learn, yearn to be acknowledged and praised for accomplishments big or small. Im not one who makes empty threats or resorts to punishment for undesirable behavior, I believe redirection, clear communication, positive reinforcement, respecting their feelings and engaging conversation has a better outcome. I can keep things tidy and organized, prepare healthy meals and snacks, encouraging participation-age appropriate of course.
