Hello! My name is Brenda Carbonneau. I am a 46-year-old mom of 2 and a current preschool teacher in Holden, Ma. I attended Worcester State University where I majored in Elementary Education and Psychology. After college, I was a Second-Grade teacher at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Clinton, Ma. Then, I took a job as a Middle School/High School teacher, working for the Central Massachusetts Special Education Collaborative in Worcester, Ma. I left teaching when my son was born in 2004. Then, my daughter arrived in 2006. I stayed at home with my kids until they were both in middle school. During those years, I spent my days volunteering in their classrooms, was a PTO member, coached their youth Soccer and Lacrosse Teams. I went back to work in 2016, initially as an assistant Preschool Teacher. However, since the Spring of 2019, I earned my certification as a lead teacher Read more for ages 2.9-5 years of age. With all that has happened with Covid these past years, it has made being a teacher in a preschool setting very difficult. With that, I am looking to still care for a child or multiple children, but in a non-classroom setting. Even though, my kids are older, I'm still a very, involved Mom and extremely family oriented. The hours/days I work at the preschool, give me the flexibility to still be just that. So, I'm looking for a family that is a good fit for not only their family, but also for mine. I am fully vaccinated, including a booster. I am cpr/first aid certified. I have two dogs, so I am completely comfortable with pets, and I have my own transportation.
