From the time my first nephew was born in 1998, I knew I loved working with children and have immersed myself in a variety of settings, on multiple continents to find my niche in the truly unique field of childcare. Wanting to gain classroom experience and improve my Spanish language skills, I began working for a Head Start program with toddlers and preschoolers. It was great! Saving my earnings, I volunteered and traveled in Central America for five months. From a classroom of 30 Spanish-speaking toddlers to runaway teenaged girls, I honed my focus in on early ed. in domestic settings. I continued to work with families stateside until I took up the opportunity and challenge to travel the globe serving churches and communities across the third world.
