I am the oldest of 24 grandchildren which means there has never been a moment when I wasn't with a young child! I am also the oldest of my mother's children (I have a little brother who is 7 years old and a little sister who is 13 years old). Since I was always playing with my siblings and cousins, I felt that it would be appropriate to work with younger children; therefore, I began volunteering to work with children and adults who were developmentally delayed. After being exposed to what it meant to work with children, I became CPR and First Aid certified and was given the opportunity to work at a school age program in my city's YMCA where I was exposed to children from difference backgrounds who needed different amount of support and attention. Having worked in the school age program and volunteering to work with children Read more and adults, I have become extremely comfortable in working with children with disabilities, behavioral issues, or children who just love to have a lot of fun! I feel confident that I would be a trustworthy and exceptional care provider for your child(ren) and that I could help add a fun dynamic to the household! I also speak Spanish and would be willing to teach the children it as well!
