I am a 36-year-old mother of four children (18, 16, 14, and 6) with professional experience with newborns, infants, and toddlers. . Recently I worked as a household manager to a single father and his 2 year old boy. My boss had a high powered job and he needed a “mom figure” for his son. I worked for them over 50 hrs a week and was responsible for everything to do with the home and child; cleaning, organizing, paying bills, grocery shopping, cooking , doctors appointment, school events, etc. I also worked for a family as a Personal Care Attendant to a special needs 10 year old girl and her 4 year old sister. My duties were feeding her via g-tube, changing her, bathing, interactive play and singing songs, and playing with her 4 year old sister when needed. My primary role, however, was as a PCA. Prior to that Read more job I was with 2 year old twins and a 10 year old. I was responsible for any and all of their daily needs, including but not limited to, doctor visits, early intervention sessions, bathing, potty training, learning manners and respect for others, personal hygiene, and cleaning up after oneself, table manners, and general safety and awareness. I also worked for a childcare center as an assistant infant teacher. I was responsible for playing with and making sure each basic need is met for each child including following schedules, bottle feeding, changing, fine motor therapy, gross motor therapy, and having the uncanny knack for putting fussy babies to sleep. I have also worked as a newborn hearing screener in the newborn nursery for a little over a year. Before that, I was a newborn photographer in the newborn nursery. I am also a Sunday school teacher at my church in the toddler classroom. I am certified in CPR/First Aid/AED as well as have life experience with the use of Epi Pens.
