Hello! My name is Isabel and I am 23 years old. I am a recent graduate student from Clark University with a Bachelors in Geography and Studio Art. I have been baby sitting since I was 15 years old for other families and since I was 10 for my younger sister. I have experience with ages 4 to 13 years and was a camp counselor at Sandy Hill Camp for ages 9 to 12, primarily doing ropes, equestrian, and creative arts instruction. I was also a mentor for student run organization called All Kinds of Girls (AKOG) that promotes confidence and empowers girls from ages 9 to 12, focusing on a variety of activities such as sport and fitness, nutrition, global awareness and friendship. I am creative and organized planning activities with kids that involve arts and crafts but also incorporate music as I sing and play the guitar. I Read more grew up in a bilingual household, speaking Spanish and English, and have experience working with children both languages. My childhood consisted of growing up in seven different countries which has made me think about place, space and the environment around me and more importantly the connections and interactions between different countries or cities. Living in different countries throughout my childhood I learned very quickly to listen, observe and reflect upon the new culture that surrounded me. More importantly, the more I moved around, the more I realized how much I don’t know, this was a humbling experience which carried over to all my travels. I believe that my experience growing up abroad has allowed me to be flexible and open minded towards understanding new perspectives and cultures.
