hi there! i am a teacher/nanny/sitter looking for a summer position! I am looking for part-time work with flexibility- I am local to the area, and can help out really whenever any needs pop up! I have an M.Ed. in Special Ed, and a B.A. in Secondary Ed / English Language Arts. I currently hold two initial teaching licensures- one in English and one in Moderate Disabilities, and have a Sheltered English Instruction certification. :) ** I am still remaining very covid cautious, as I take care of my grandmother. I also have been vaccinated since early March (thanks asthma!). ** I have worked with all kinds of kiddos 🙂. I have experience as a teacher’s assistance in a daycare, a graduate level teacher in a 4th/5th grade inclusive classroom, a graduate level teacher at a therapeutic alternative middle/high school, and was working as a lead Social Emotional Learning staff Read more in Cambridge prior to the pandemic where I provided crisis-intervention for students with emotional and behavioral disadvantages, and helped design the district’s first SEL program. My passion is social emotional learning, and I think that really helps connect the bridge between “Teacher Mode” and loving “Babysitter mode” because I value fostering relationships with kiddos for who they are as people and what kind of support they need each and every day 🙂. I know how scary it can be to allow strangers into your homes/families and appreciate anyone who is willing to reach out to see if I am a match for your family!!!
