Ever since I can remember I have had younger children around me all the time. I am the oldest of four children in my family, so growing up with younger children all around me is second nature to me. In addition to my family experience with younger kids, I have also volunteered at my schools' summer camp for 8 consecutive years. My duties at the camp included supervising children ages 6-12 in activities including sports, English and computer. I also was an swimming instructor and maintained safety in the water while giving swimming lessons to children at the summer camp. During my senior year in high school I gave private piano lessons to a 5-year-old girl, teaching her to read music notes and play beginners songs. Finally, I have been working part time as a teacher assistance at Next Generation Children's Center since January where I worked with children from Read more ages 3 months-5 years old.
