My name is Shoshana Kruskal and I am looking for a job this summer as a nanny/babysitter. I'm finishing my senior year at Wheaton College (MA), graduating in May 2014, studying Psychology and Early Childhood Education. As such, I've had extensive experience working with children of a range of ages. For 4 summers, I worked as a counselor at Camp Grossman, working three years with second graders and then one year with sixth and seventh graders. In the summer of 2012, I spent six weeks working as a classroom assistant at the May Centre for Autism Spectrum Disorders, so I have experience in the field of special education as well. For the past four years at Wheaton, I have worked part-time in the on-campus nursery school, assisting the teacher with children ages 3-5. In this setting this year, I shadowed one specific child who had more individualized needs to help Read more him be successful in the classroom. Currently, I am student teaching in pre-k and 2nd grade as the final step in getting my Early Childhood Education licensure. In this capacity, I have experience with children ages 3-8 and have a large knowledge of activities for children across all areas, including art, active play, and reading. Additionally, I am First Aid and CPR certified.  With regard to babysitting, I've worked with many ages in various capacities over the years. In the winter of 2013, I nannied full-time for three weeks for a 2-year-old. This past summer, I worked as a nanny for a family with a 5-year-old and an 8-year-old, picking them up from daily activities and entertaining them at home. While I mostly have experience with younger kids, I love working with children of all ages! I am looking for close to full-time work this summer. I have a good deal of flexibility with days and timing of work, however, I will be leaving the final week in August for a teaching job. Also, I have a car.
