Hi there! My name is Casey and I am a graduate student at Washington University in St. Louis studying Social Work and Public Health. Here is my relevant experience: -I have babysat for several families for long periods of time since I was a teenager. For the past year I have been babysitting for a family in Newton (1 2 year old). I take her outside for walks and playtime, create activities for us to do, read, prepare meals for her, and light house-keeping including dishes, laundry and cleanup. Previously, for 6 months I babysat for a family in Boston (two kids ages 5 and 7) where I was responsible for picking them up from school, bringing them to the park and playdates, and preparing snack/occasional dinner. -As a former research assistant at the Child Development Unit at UMass Boston, I gained experience working with children in a research setting. Read more As a research assistant, I was responsible for helping children understand the experiments and make their time at the lab as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. -I babysat for a 3 year-old girl for over two years; some of our favorite things to do together included dance parties, nature walks, coloring, and board games. -I nannied two sisters, a 6 year-old and a 9 year-old for a year full time; my responsibilities included laundry, meal prep, light housekeeping, homework help, and activity planning/pick ups and drop offs. We loved playing games (soccer) and being outside! -I also love and have experience with working with children as a babysitter/caretaker. I have worked at two summer camps over the course of three years with children ages 4-10 year olds. My responsibilities included supervising and facilitating activities, filling out reports about campers, and organizing performances for the weekly Parent's Night. -I have experience tutoring elementary and early middle school age kids at the Roxbury boys and girls club.
