Hello, my name is Lauren. Thank you for looking at my SitterCity profile. (This is a recent photo:-) I am a youthful 67 year old woman residing in Newton. I have been a professional nanny for 12 years. My recent job was working for a fabulous two-doctor family with two preschool daughters. This job sadly ended due to the coronavirus - one of the doctors works ICU with covid19 patients and since I am in a risk category due to my age we mutually decided to part. My age and maturity have always been an asset until the pandemic! I have a degree in Early Childhood Ed/Elementary Ed though I haven’t worked in a school for many years. Still, that background has definitely helped me in the child care jobs I’ve had since 2008. I am organized, high energy, outgoing, reliable, patient and loving. If you don't have any local relatives Read more to rely upon, you will find me especially helpful! My previous employers will validate this when you ask them for references. I think it's important to let you know how serious I take the current pandemic. Since mid-March when my last job had to end, I have been strictly following CDC etc. guidelines. I am single and live alone. My quarantine bubble only includes my daughter, her husband, and my grandkids aged 1 and 3 when I visit them twice/week in Arlington. My daughter and her husband both work from home and have no visitors except me. My grandkids do not, and will not, be attending preschool or daycare in the coming year. We keep our quarantine bubble tight as we are committed to safety. Though I have cared for children from infancy through high school, my ideal job now is to care for an infant or toddler who will not be going to preschool or daycare in the foreseeable future and whose parent(s) either work from home or do not have high risk jobs outside of the home. I'm looking for a start date in late August or early September with a part time commitment of 20-30 hours/week, though the days and times can be flexible. We can learn more about each other when we schedule a chat. Meanwhile, I pray you and your loved ones are healthy and safe:-)
