Hello family! My name is Nicole. I am a woman in my 30's who has had experience caring for children, since I was a child myself. I have a large family with several siblings and dozens of cousins. My youngest brother is 9 years younger than I am and I had a large role in his upbringing and care while my mother endured entering the world of becoming a widow. My mother ran a daycare when I was in elementary and middle school. I began "assisting" her at the age of 11. I was always surrounded by kids of all ages from my large family and extended family and that has continued into adult hood through my personal ventures, experiences and social circles. When I was in high school I began babysitting for a young professional family, with boys ages 5 & 3 and girl aged 2, on special occasions. Read more I bonded very quickly with their oldest boy who was developmentally behind his markers and socially petrified. They were in awe and asked me to come on, on a regular basis quite quickly. I nannied for that family throughout the rest of my high school experience, after school and some weekends. In my 20's I was a live in nanny for another family of 3 children for a little over a year, before beginning my career in hospitality and finance. I have a special place in my heart and mind for kids and am well attuned to their needs. I am a very well read, although an autodidact, in general child psychology and the ideas on raising high functioning little humans. I have experience in life with many levels of developmental, personality and cognitive abilities.
