My name is Allie and I have been caring for children for thirteen years. I am 26 and am pursuing my Masters in Early Childhood Education (birth to 8 yrs) at Wheelock College. Children are one of the greatest joys in my life and the best job for me is playing with children and taking care of them. I'm definitely an outdoor person. Currently, I am seeking a job for the next full year starting now. I am looking for part time work so anywhere from 6 hrs. to 20. I have worked at many nature camps and love taking children on hikes and playing outside. I am very creative and love cooking, crafting, and making up new games to play. I enjoy both boys and girls equally and feel that I can understand and relate to them both. I have some experience with children with special needs because two summers ago, I worked full time at a summer camp for children with severe emotional disturbances and behavior problems. If your child has special needs, I will listen to everything you tell me about what he or she needs to be safe and happy and consider these things when I am caring for your child. I do not believe in talking down or "dumbing things down" to special needs children who are developmentally delayed. Your child will always be treated with the utmost respect in my care. I am told I am an excellent cook so if you need me to prepare nutritious meals for your children while you're gone, I am more than happy to do so.
