I am currently a stay-at-home mom who rarely stays at home! I can most often be found out & about in the community with children, both my own and friends' children who join us. There are so many great activities in which to participate with children - fun, educational, creative, exciting, often nature-based - the list is endless and the tv is never on! My educational background includes an undergrad in communications and masters in social work. I have had First Aid, CPR & Lifeguard training (though certifications currently need updating). My work experience includes direct care with children & adolescents in group home/residential settings - planning and carrying out daily routines, leisure activities, homework, lifeskill teaching/modeling, discipline as necessary - as well as counseling with children and families, offering support & education during transitions and difficult times. I chose to step back from this career when I had my Read more own children in order to invest in them more fully and enjoy their early years. Now, with my oldest children starting their school careers, I am looking for a part-time nanny position that will allow me to better support my family while being an excellent addition to yours. My youngest child remains with me through the day and my oldest during afterschool hours - providing instant playmates for yours! I am a careful and caring, patient and imaginative, fun-loving and energetic caregiver and I would love to include your child(ren) in my adventures and be a part of your family's, too!
