My name is Emily. Currently I work as a nanny/babysitter and as a longterm substitute teacher in typical and special education (behavioral & autism spectrum) classroom settings and am actively looking for a full time nanny position. I absolutely adore working with children; their inquisitive attitudes and loads of energy make them a joy to be around. I am a driven educated women who has strong work ethic, creativity, a curiosity for knowledge, always willing to pitch in, is adaptable to any situation, able to change gears quickly, and takes/follows direction well with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Open and honest communication/feedback is a key component and is a must. I have extensive travel experience and am willing to travel whenever there is a need. I volunteer overseas. My passion is to serve others (especially children), to be immersed in different cultures, be encouraging, and relational/interactive with people. Over the past 4-5 years I have traveled world wide to 20+ international countries and also domestically within the US. I’ve gained an immense admiration for different cultures and am confident with many cities, cultures, and challenging situations. I have experience and am at ease with newborns to young teens.  I have up-to-date CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications. With me, your children will have fun, playing and learning rather than just sitting in front of a T.V. I enjoy nature, reading to children, singing, playing games, teaching the them how to count & their ABC's/colors, bike riding, coloring, arts-n-crafts, visits to the park/museums, taking walks, swimming, and putting puzzles together etc...
