Hello! I am currently a Radford Alumna with focuses in psychology and philosophy. Because of my love for children, I wanted to continue working in a field where I can provide care. I am now a Residential Counselor, working for a group home facility with a group of amazing young ladies. However, I do work night shift and have missed interaction working one on one with children. For that reason, I am open to working during the day and some weekends! During my years in college I was an intern at an after school program for kids in elementary and middle school. This program is designed to help improve the well-being of at-risk children and low-income families. As an intern at Beans and Rice, I helped assist and motivate (often educate) children to stay on task and get their work done. While maintaining my internship, I also babysit for a Read more local family. As well as interning with Beans and Rice, I also have been a camp counselor and a teacher's assistant at the YMCA learning center when I was on break from school. As a counselor, I ensured campers' well-being and made their camp experience as fun and rewarding as possible. As an assistant teacher at the YMCA, I have worked with infants to school age children. My job consisted of building a relationship with young children while helping to maintain a safe and educational environment.
