Hi! My name is Charity and I’m seeking a full-time nanny position in which I can provide a fun, nurturing, and educational everyday experience for your little one(s)! I value life’s adventures, big and small, and love to laugh and learn along the way. That’s how I plan to approach my time with your child(ren)! I am a responsible and reliable person dedicated to care-giving. I have had several nanny positions throughout the years and love volunteering in my wife's Pre-K classroom when possible. My goal is to work with one or two children in the infant and toddler range (and beyond as they grow). This is because I'm passionate about supporting a child's development in the early stages of life. I am very creative and love to promote learning through music, arts, and crafts. I believe it’s important as a nanny to remain consistent with routines, incentives, and rules the family has established for their children. I pride myself on not only being punctual, organized, and prepared, but also on being able to pivot and problem-solve when necessary. I have excellent communication skills and you can rest assured that your child is receiving the best, most loving care when they are with me. I always come to deeply care for the children I watch and their families and I still receive updates from families I’ve helped throughout the years. I look forward to meeting a new wonderful family to work for! I'm also happy to provide light housework, meal prep, errands, and pet care (such as walks during and after the workday). A little bit about me: I love spending time in my new neighborhood, Charles Village, along with others I've lived in while in Baltimore—Hampden and Mount Vernon. I relocated from St. Louis, MO four years ago when my wife decided to put her teaching degree to use by applying to Teach for America. Out of our ten choices they planted us in Baltimore and we're so glad they did! I'm enrolled in an herbalism program so a lot of my free time is devoted to studying. I also enjoy reading, old films, and bouncing between different creative projects. I'm currently a dog-walker/sitter as well as a baby-sitter for some of my clients! Over my time working with them we've built trust and closeness, which I find very special. While I love my job, I am looking to transition into a nanny position that's meaningful, rewarding, and long-term. References available.
