My name is Luyanda. I'm originally from South Africa but reside in the United States. I have a high school diploma as will as a college degree in business and I hold a certificate in CPR/First Aid and AED. I'm a former Au Pair but currently work as a caregiver. The childcare experience I have is extensive. Throughout my high school years, I cared for family member children during weekend only as I was in boarding school during the week. I further cared for relatives children throughout my college years and then after college I was hired by two parents to professionally care for two infants for 3 years. My care responsibilities included bathing the babies and dressing them up, introducing them to solid foods and making baby appropriate meals and snacks, educating the babies with Storytime, introducing the babies to nap time routines during the day, actively engaging with Read more the babies for their gross motor skills, keeping the babies active, making sure that the babies ate at appropriate times of the day, keeping watch of diapers and changing them when needed to and keeping babies on a schedule throughout the day. I love being a childcare provider because I get to be a part of the baby's life and see him or her reach certain milestones in their lives, it is rewarding to know that I played a role in the good development of the child's life and wellbeing. I believe that I fit the role of a professional nanny because I possess the traits and qualities that are a basic requirement for a nanny and believe that I will strive in my next position.
