Thank you for taking a moment to consider me for your family's nanny! Working with kids started on a volunteer and hobby basis at my church when I was 16, and developed into caring for kids as a second job and a job-between-jobs. I'm looking to continue doing one of my favorite lines of work on a full-time/long-term basis with a family that I can grow with and learn from. I started caring for children under a paid basis in high school. I worked for a friend's family member of a 9-year-old boy after he was out of school and would take him to / from soccer and helped with soccer practice as well as helped him with homework, chores, and would cook him meals. I did this for most of the school year in 2010. In 2011 to 2012, I watched my cousin's two children, aged 1 and 2 Read more for her quite often throughout that time (usually weekends and evenings) and did everything from playtime, to cooking meals and preparing them for bed. In 2013, I held a nanny position (Monday - Friday all day) watching 3 children aged 1, 5 and 9 for 6 months during the summer months and into the older girls' school years. In 2013 as well as 2014, I consistently nannied a 2-year-old girl as a fill-in basis and do everything from morning wake-up routine, clean, potty train, meal prep, play and help her learn. Consistently this year (2015), I watched two girls aged 3 and 7 for date days/nights on a weekly basis which included lunch and/or dinner, playing outdoors (trampoline and pool mostly), indoor activities, potty training, and light housework. In addition to this, I was also their housekeeper, and the family's mother's housekeeper as well on a bi-weekly basis where I would deep clean the entire house for 3 hours. A little look into how I nanny: I love adventure, and having eventful days. I can plan out a schedule for your child(ren), stick to your schedule, or a little of each. I believe learning should be a daily event and should also be fun, and don't think electronics should be a baby-sitter. I am willing to transport your kid(s) to any sports/events they're involved in and I can plan outings as well. I believe that good behavior is best taught by setting a good example, and privileges or time-outs followed by talking with the child(ren) are the most effective ways for conflict resolution. Finally, I believe there is no down-time in child care and always enjoy cleaning and cooking and consider this a part of the job. Please let me know if you have any questions!
