My background in the childcare field is pretty long. I worked at a private school for just a little under 4 years in their before/after care program. I also worked in the schools nursery with children aged from newborn to three years old and I also worked as a substitute teacher. Over the summer I worked for the school summer camp as a camp counselor. I was previously working as a nanny to a family with two eight month old twin girls from seven thirty am to four thirty pm. My responsibilities included getting twins ready for the day, prepare daily meals, play learning stimulation games, put twins down for morning and two afternoon naps, restock twins diapers and wipes for the day, give them the necessary amount of medicine they get for the day sometimes twice daily, and on occasion give them baths if their mother does not have Read more the time to as she works from home. I also take the girls to doctors appointments and on daily walks with the family dogs. I do light house work such as vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, dishes and laundry. After the nanny job, I worked for a daycare in D.C called Triangle Tots, I worked in the infant room. I loved seeing the babies learn and explore new things every day. My duties were to take care of 8 babies aged from 5 months to 1 years old. Prepare meals for the babies according to the feeding schedule their parents leave for me. Change babies every two hours, sometimes sooner. Put babies down for naps according to their nap schedule. Clean classroom and sanitize toy at the end of the day. Sign babies in and out when they come in and leave at the end of the day. Prepare weekly lesson plans such as Art Smart where the babies use their fine motor skills to finger paint. I loved my job there, but unfortunately I had to leave due to some medical reasons and communication issues on the managements end. Previously, as I said before, I worked in a private school so I have a lot of experience with kids of all ages. From new born up until twelfth grade, which are usually aged from sixteen to eighteen.
