Growing up in a military family and with a younger brother who has a disability, I've been shaped by resilience, adaptability, and compassion. My mother, a nurse, is my ultimate role model and the reason I became a caregiver. After high-school I attended nursing school where I received my CNA license (which means I have been professionally trained to administer care) and my Medication Technician license (which means I have been professionally trained to administrative medicine). I have worked for Right At Home where I administered care to seniors for 6 months before joining Easterseals where I worked as a respite care provider for military families working with kids with disabilities and their siblings for a total of 7 years. Overall, being a caregiver brings me a sense of purpose and fulfillment that I wouldn't trade for anything else.
