Hello, My name is Tyra — I currently am a Deputy Sheriff for Arlington VA. Prior to becoming a Sheriff, I was a early childhood educator (2012-2017). While in that career field, I was completely drawn to infants — that was my “speciality”. I graduated from North Point High School (a Stem School) in Waldorf MD in the Education Careers program. In the program I learned how to properly teach, and nurture young children. I also learned how to create lesson plans that meet the needs of the child.
