, I am Shalom Elizabeth. I am 35 years old. I have extensive training and experience caring for infants, toddlers and children, including multiples. I am a professional, qualified and responsible nanny, who is very passionate about working as an early childcare educator. I don't only take care of basic physical needs like safety, good nutrition and good hygiene. I also work with the parents and do my best to help the children I care for, grow and develop to their fullest potential by forming good habits, having good manners, being fair, courteous and considerate of others. I teach them to be able to solve problems on their own. Also to have a positive self image, I encourage them to express their feeling and desires and to use their creativity. I take the children I care for to fun outings: Classes, parks, nature centers, museums, libraries and theaters so they can explore have fun and learn new things and interact with different people... I also have experience as an ESL teacher. I speak English, Portuguese and Spanish. I always keep the kids busy and learning I create lesson plans each week detailing what activities we will be doing. I am certified in CPR and First Aid, Infant & Child Health and Safety, Child Development-Ages and Stages, Age Appropriate Activities, Building Positive Self Concepts in Children, Nutrition and Feeding. I am fun and have lots of ideas and skills for crafts and teaching. I am very good at preparing healthy snacks, purees and meals for the children I care for, also have a lot of experience and techniques for feeding infants. I am very organized and don't mind doing housework, including, laundry, cleaning, dishes, sweeping and keeping rooms clean and straight. I am patient and responsible. I have lived in MD for the last 10 years working as a nanny. Before that, I lived in Brazil where I worked as a nanny and teacher for 4 years. I absolutely love children. I have been working in nanny shares for the past 6 years so I have experience with working and communicating with 2 families. I also share an app with the families that logs what the kids ate, where they went, when they went to sleep, and when they had dirty diapers and uploads photos.
