I’m Jenna, I’ve been working with children for half of my lifetime. I love kids just as much as they seem to love me. I don’t have any kids of my own. I don’t have any other obligations or commitments. I have a 2018 safe sedan and I’m also up to date on all car seat safety! I love being outside and getting active with the kids :) I just moved to this area and I’m looking to start working ASAP! Hope to hear from you.

We hired Jenna as a full-time nanny for our young family to start at the end of summer 2021. Our previous nanny, with whom we had worked for 1.5 years, received a job with Baltimore County Infants and Toddlers. At first, Jenna seemed wonderful, very kind and sweet. Our kids took to her well, and we asked her to be our full-time nanny with the intention of starting a long-term, ideally multi-year relationship. To ease the transition on everyone, we paid for two full weeks of overlap between our previous nanny and Jenna. It was very expensive for us, but we thought it would be the best thing all around. Jenna worked with us for three weeks independently. The last weekend in August, we took a long weekend trip to upstate New York. We paid her for our day away (a Friday) and told her we were excited to see her on Monday. That Monday, also our daughter’s first day of kindergarten, Jenna texted to say she had COVID symptoms. When we didn’t hear from her for the rest of the day, we followed up with her the next day and she said she had COVID. This threw us into a tailspin because we had to quarantine ourselves and our four children, cancel a trip to a family wedding we had planned, and call out of work totally unexpectedly. As the week went on, her communication became more and more spotty. We were genuinely concerned she might be seriously ill or hospitalized because we didn’t hear back from her. In the end, she ghosted us completely. We never heard from her or saw her again. It was the single worst thing that any care provider has ever done to our family and the single worst childcare experience of our lives. I would never trust Jenna with children based on our experience. She completely misrepresented herself, her intentions, and her character. Her behavior was manipulative and dishonest, and I pray no family ever has to experience the stress and anxiety we experienced this fall. I wish her no ill will; that being said, this is someone you should not trust in your home or with your children and loved ones.
