Hi! My name is Hasyrah but I also go by Sy. I am 28 years old, born in Boston but raised in Maryland. I am an only child but I come from a big extended family of young cousins and babies that I loved to help care for. From a young age, I loved to lend a helping hand and be around children. I was always hands on and interested in helping when it came to changing diapers, feedings, and reading books especially. I have distinct memories of liking "A Baby Story" on TLC because I was so intrigued by the process of pregnancy and parents prepping for their new babies. As I got older, I had babysitting gigs and jobs at summer camps. In college I studied hospitality because of my knack for communication and passion for service oriented work. However, I didn't spend much time in that career Read more due to the pandemic. I switched over back to my natural love and desire to care for children and actually became Behavior Technician for children with autism. For this position i had to be certified in behavior therapy. I would have 1 to 1 behavior therapy with my clients at their home or at the clinic. Due to the pandemic that didn't last long. I soon found a full time position as a full-time nanny for a family of 4 with 2 cats. The children were 1 and 5 when I started. I helped them out with homeschool before the eldest started 1st grade as well. I helped with anything the family needed as well as drop offs to school and extracurriculars. I assisted with changings, naps, cleaning cloth diapers, light cooking ect. I worked with them from Sept 2020 to July 2022. I still help with babysitting or anything they need. We became family. I also took the kids to places like the zoo, the aquarium, science museums, parks etc. The family was active, healthy and into outdoors as well. Im naturally curious and always had interest in different activities. I started dance lessons at 3 so I love to move my body, listen to music, create art, read books, and explore new things. I am a licensed esthetician. I enjoy the biology of skin care and helping people relax and feel taken care of. Although this is a skill of mine, I have found that my love for children and genuine curiosity in their growth and development leads me back to wanting to help families and be apart of a child's journey. I am confident that my bubbly, fun, kind, responsible and natural caregiver personality will be a great asset to your family.
