Hello! My name is Emily and I am currently in a clinical psychology Master's program. I received my undergraduate degree in psychology at University of Maryland. I also currently have an internship where I work with children at a private counseling practice, helping to teach them emotion regulation skills and about mindfulness. My end goal is to have my own private practice when I am fully licensed to help kids be their most authentic selves and understand the heavy emotions they may be feeling. I say all this to tell you that I have a passion for helping and caring for children. I recently moved to Odenton and I currently help manage a residential group home agency for adults with developmental disabilities. I'm, however, looking for a career change so I can spend more of my time working with children and working closer to my home. I am looking for Read more a stable/consistent full-time position. You can expect me to be very hands-on and interactive when working with your children. I love arts and crafts, learning activities, outdoor activities, going on fun day trips to places like museums and parks, and I will make this a priority. I have been babysitting kids since I was 12 and I will be 23 soon. I have a lot of experience, but most importantly I have the heart for this. I would also love to meet first to go over everything and do a meet-and-greet to ensure it is a good fit for both parties. I love animals and am happy to help out around the house or to make meals for the children. I have a lot of experience, specifically working with individuals who have special needs, so I am happy to help children with special needs as well. I have a car, a valid license, and a clean driving record. I am CPR/first aid certified and also am a certified med tech. I look forward to getting to know you and your family :)
