Greetings, my name is Antonia. As my father would say, Growing up, Tonia always had someone's baby. My love of children has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Working in my godmother's in-home daycare and the children's ministry at church sparked my desire to develop my first business, Antonia's Hair Styling and Babysitting Services. It was quite a success! Parents could not resist a night out with peace of mind knowing their children were safe, well taken care of and happy. After high school, I graduated Spelman College with a degree in Child Development. For the past 5 years, I have devoted my life to my students. There is no greater reward than contributing to a child s nurturing and development. The giggles and tears, success and challenges, infants to teens, all lives matter. While my unique path has enabled me to transition Read more back to school, I look forward to meeting you and the prospect of serving your family!

We met Antonia in a state of turmoil. Usually our schedules as a military married to military couple conflict, but somehow we've been able to work it all out. Not this time. Our demanding schedules meant we would have to let go of a last minute opportunity for our son to attend an out of town therapy camp. After placing an ad on sittercity.com, our hopes weren't high. But I answered the applications and chatted with the applicants. I had a good feeling about Antonia, and felt comforted that the site had already accomplished the background check. She met our family for lunch & I knew she was the one. She's an elementary teacher and I could just tell she knew what she was doing. She volunteered to accompany us on day 1 (orientation) to make sure she knew the ins & outs. She was concerned about our son's comfort level & was very accommodating. She registered on base so she could pick him up daily, which meant we could do our jobs! Mind you, my son is extremely shy & he opened up to her in a very short time. She played games with him on their daily drives, talked with the therapists, and relayed important messages to us. She texted her status if she would be running behind, & snuck in some snippets of wisdom when my son wasn't paying attention. By the end of their time together, this shy kid was talking her head off- a high compliment in my opinion. I would recommend her to any family in a heartbeat.
