I have worked for the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington for 3 1/2-4 years, with children ranging from infants to middle school. (Goodwill Excel Center, HHS, HUD, and Diplotots 1 at the US Dept of State. I have background in lesson planning, classroom organization, and enjoy learning from and teaching children. Constructing proper relationship with both child and parent is vital to a working environment for me . I believe that even in play, children should be learning and progress should be visible and documented. As a furloughed employee for the last 9 months, being cooped up in the confines of my house has been difficult. Given the experience that many teachers and students are having with school days, physical and tangible interaction with a qualified teacher could be just the adjustment some need.
