Hi there- My name is Jeslyn, I’m a passionate individual who is outgoing and to say the least, energetic. Currently, I am focusing my spare time on starting my own art company and also working towards my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Entrepreneurship. I’ve been serving in a variety of forms of childcare for over 12 years and can honestly say that I appreciate and love what I do! I started with babysitting, then became a camp counselor leading me to a promotion as an after school and summer camp director. I’ve received over 40 hours of Child Care Certifications with the Department of Children and Families in Florida. I’ve also been trained in over 20 different child development classes with Prime Time, located in Florida as well. My goal as a Nanny is to mentor, care for, and help children express themselves by creating an open and loving Read more environment. I personally enjoy crafts, reading and the outdoors, so I encourage them to be physically active and play classic games like jump rope, hop scotch, tag, etc. I believe devices and video games are a reward for good behavior and prefer to keep it at a limit. I think this allows more time for social and physical interaction as well as imagination. Every family is different of course, so this will vary. Education is most definitely a priority, and I’m willing to guide and mentor your children with their academics. As for housekeeping, I’m okay with assisting with light tasks such as dishes, laundry, and tidying. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would understand there is no such thing as perfect, but there is such thing as learning for the better of one’s self and others. As I said, I have a variety of experience and always look to learn something new. I’m looking forward to working with an engaged, loving, and relaxed family, who will see me as a part of theirs rather than someone just there for a job.
