I've been married for 11 years, have 2 pups and adore babies/children. My entire adolescent life was devoted to taking care of children (happily. My choice). I loved playing Mommy to my little brother (not because I had to, we have amazing parents! It's because to me he was like a living baby doll as he's 8 years younger) I love my family, have morals and standards & strike a fine balance between kids being kids and kids acting up. I'm trained, skilled & professional. I love engaging with children and finding what they're passionate about and bringing that out in them, helping grow the child's confidence. I babysat weekly in high school & college & took all child development classes offered. I attended Carroll Hospitals program for infant & child medical + CPR to become certified. Through our High school program I then taught preschool for 10 months. Later I interned for 8 months as a 2nd grade teacher. I excelled and was given the opportunity to be a paid reading and math tutor for grades K-5 through Spring Garden Elementary school. In college I became an established preschool teacher at the YMCA. At 22 I became a life skills teacher at The MD School for the blind. I worked with blind, deaf & autistic children ages 5-21. I'm more than capable of meeting the day to day needs for children of all ages. I have a spotless driving & background record (see "badges" on profile). I'm smart, patient, love kids and I'm not afraid to say no when it's needed. Very rarely intimidated I would make sure each child not only had their needs met but I want them to feel loved, valued and heard. I try to bring out the best in them.
