I became a nanny because I enjoy being around children. It is the previous generations responsibility to uplift and move the upcoming generations. I belief the best time in one's life and the time to be impacted the most is as a child, where memories are created and those that you come in contact with influence your character beyond then. I believe families get a bad rap for having a nanny because it's a believed myth that it means parents do not "love their children" or may be neglectful, but everyone needs help at some point. I applaud those families because they are responsible enough to admit they're going in so many different directions and need assistance with their children. Lastly, you get to be the cool step-mom or sister, where you get to be serious but also silly with the children. I enjoy it because you are able to Read more relive your childhood in a sense. As a person that has always been kind of goal orientated and Type A, children give me the ability to relax and "let loose" a bit. As a person that would like to be a mother one day, any ability to practice and get to interact with children I take it. From being a mentor to a nanny, I enjoy leading and teaching others and ultimately, learning from them myself. The skills I have is the ability to love others children as if they were my own. I believe children need A LOT of love growing up, in order to build a strong character. Secondly, I am very patient. Being one of 11 children, I have had to learn all the things it's important for children to learn such as sharing, hearing the word NO, patience, structure, and so much more. Not to mention the fact that I'm a Pisces, which is a water sign. Moreover, being the semi Type A person, I am extremely organized. I'm the type of person that will make a list to go into a store and only have to get 3 items. There are so many more things I could say, but I would rather you hear and see them in person!
