Hello! My name is Danielle but I often go by Dani. I'm excited to meet new families through Sitter city. My hope is to find a good fit with families that can benefit from my personality and style of care. I am all about kind and direct communication and all members of the family feeling comfortable to express themselves and get their needs met. I deeply appreciate healthy boundaries, kindness, curiosity, playfulness and humor. These are practices that I am learning from more and more everyday. I have been involved in childcare since I was old enough to babysit my little brothers. As a teen I worked as a mothers helper and baby-sitter for families around our neighborhood and was heavily involved in childcare, counseling kids summer camps, and assisting with Sunday school at my church working specifically with children with special needs. At 16 I worked with the Montgomery Read more County recreation department assisting with their sports programs for kids with developmental differences while also assisting in programs at my church. In recent years, I have worked in agriculture both on farms and at farmers markets. I have traveled around the country with programs like wwoof where I have stayed on family farms working both in the fields and in the home helping care for children. Most recently I have provided childcare for families in the winter when the farming season takes a break! I love being outside, cooking, exploring new artistic mediums, and listening to people's stories.
