I am the proud mother of two girls; one daughter just graduated from college, and the other daughter just graduated high school. For the past 12 years, I have been a Girl Scout leader and advisor as well as the First-Aider for the troop for most of that time. As a Girl Scout leader, I have been involved in a variety of volunteer work over the years because I enjoy it and because I wanted to teach the importance of volunteering. I have also been an advocate and caregiver for the past 11 years. At first, I stopped working as a research biologist in order to help my daughter (diagnosed with ADHD and OCD) find ways to deal with her challenges and to discover her strengths. In addition, I helped my aging mother through her struggle with cancer. After her passing, I cared for my father (a WWII veteran) for Read more 4 years in my home. During this time, my younger daughter developed a complicated chronic illness. I have been her advocate, caregiver, tutor, friend, and cheerleader for the past 6 years. Finally, our famlly has several pets, and I am comfortable with all kinds of pets.

Very impressed with Liz! She sat for my 20 month old and he took to her right away. Liz is kind, open, responsible, and attentive. Took excellent care of my poor teething boy and left careful notes for me. I would absolutely recommend her and hope to use her again soon.

Liz has babysat for our almost 7 year old daughter. Liz was very thoughtful, and easily connected with her on a wide range of her interests. She took care of everything we asked of her, and went above and beyond too. She even followed up to bring to our attention a local event she thought our daughter would like that we were not aware of.

I found Liz to be a trustworthy and reliable person who helped me care for my toddler and infant. I was impressed with how she came prepared each night with several different activities to engage my toddler . She showed flexibility, always willing to step in wherever help was needed, and patience as she interacted with my toddler in her “terrible twos”. She did everything with competence and had a great attitude. I appreciated her willingness to help and her “mommy wisdom” as well. Liz is someone we will definitely be calling up again when we need a babysitter.
