I am the proud mother of two girls; one daughter just graduated from college, and the other daughter just graduated high school. For the past 12 years, I have been a Girl Scout leader and advisor as well as the First-Aider for the troop for most of that time. As a Girl Scout leader, I have been involved in a variety of volunteer work over the years because I enjoy it and because I wanted to teach the importance of volunteering. I have also been an advocate and caregiver for the past 12 years. At first, I stopped working as a research biologist in order to help my daughter (diagnosed with ADHD and OCD) find ways to deal with her challenges and to discover her strengths. In addition, I helped my aging mother through her struggle with cancer. After her passing, I cared for my father (a WWII veteran) for Read more 4 years in my home. During this time, my younger daughter developed a complicated chronic illness. I have been her advocate, caregiver, tutor, friend, and cheerleader for the past 6 years. Finally, our famlly has several pets, and I am comfortable with all kinds of pets.

Liz has been providing babysitting for our kids (now 2 and 4 years) for the past two years. I have found her to be a very reliable and trustworthy person, who actively engages with our kids and has even come to our house with preplanned activities. I appreciate her patience, her ability to a keep our kids on their normal routines (meatime, bedtime, etc.) and to competently step in when the kids may need extra help and care. She is always willing to help out with whatever is needed, communicates well with me and brings much "mommy wisdom" into her work. We are always glad to have her babysit for us!

We consider ourselves lucky to have found Liz! Liz has been providing after-school care for our 2 children (grades 5 and 7) and has been willing to roll with our changeable schedule. She meets the kids at our house or picks them up at school. She engages them with her friendly and intelligent conversation -- giving the right attention at the right times. She drives our kids to scheduled activities several times a week. Liz is reliable and communicates well with the kids and with us. Her knowledge of First-Aid is comforting, due to our child's food allergies. Her caring nature shows itself in a multitude of ways. I highly recommend Liz as a sitter!
