I've been looking after babies and children since I was a teen. On Sundays I would often spend my time helping out in the nursery or assisting adults with Sunday school, and when I became old enough I became a Sunday school teacher as well. I've traveled and been on a few missions with the church and have gotten to work with and teach children from different backgrounds. I enjoy being around children because I find it easier to connect with them, relax and be myself around them. If you listen to what they need and show a genuine interest in them, they're happy. As I have high-functioning autism, I find that I am able to easily care for children because I thrive on routines and clear-set boundaries and schedules.
