Meet Sarah

I have been a homeschool mom for the past 15 years. I have experience with mild disabilities--type one insulin dependent diabetes, developmental delay, growth delay, seizure disorder, mild autism. I directed summer camp for a year, camp counselor/craft director for a summer, camp counselor several years in a row at various camps. I have substitute taught K-12 in three different school systems. I was most valued as a music sub. Most recently I babysat a 4 year old boy in our home for about a year. We had a great time together. He was learning to play piano and ukulele. We baked, and built and played ball, and took walks to the playground. It is his mom I will provide as a reference. I assisted with various youth programs for elementary kids through my teen years. I spearheaded a youth center for middle school at risk youth. It was well attended by the youth, well supported by the community and well staffed by volunteers. I cook kosher, and am healthfood conscious. Only occasionally or for particular use do I buy or prepare processed foods. I avoid sugar, and prefer to provide fresh fruits and veggies and make bread. I am very musically inclined. I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology. While I do not own a car, I will, as soon as I secure adequate employment.
